Marble Earring-Making Workshops @ Hellesdon Barns - BRING A CHAIR

IT’S FINALLY HERE! My first ever & ONLY in person earring making workshop is now available to BOOK. Book in on your own or bring a friend or 2 along, whichever you choose, I PROMISE you’ll have fun! This is a BRING A CHAIR event so please only book if you are able to bring a chair along with you to sit on.

You can choose between a stud, hook or 2cm hoop earring-making workshop. Please note, if you are selecting a HOOP workshop, you will only receive 1 pair of 2cm hoops. The rest of your earring creations will be finished as hoop charms to be able to slot onto this pair of hoops. 

I will be teaching the polymer clay marble earring-making workshop, please use the photos as reference. Each participant will get the opportunity to select their own 3 clay colours to work with too.

The workshop will be held on Saturday 7^th October 3.30-6pm at Doxi in Hellesdon Barns. There will be the opportunity to purchase cocktails to enjoy while making your beautiful earrings or why not purchase a bottle to take home. You will also get exclusive access to shop the Doxi shop while it is closed to the public if you wish to do so during your workshop. I’m hoping to put on a really nice social event with a maximum of 15 people.

Our standard stud and hook earring backs are made from surgical steel which are NICKEL FREE & HYPOALLERGENIC. Gold or Rose coloured hooks and all hoops are plated and are made from brass. You can select between silver, rose and gold coloured hooks or hoops which will be chosen on the day. The silver coloured hooks are made from surgical steel. Please note you can have sterling silver backings however, this would be an addition cost. Please message me if you do require sterling silver prior to booking.

What you will gain out of the earring-making workshop:

- A minimum of 4 pairs of finished earrings (Lots of people make up to 10 pairs).

- All the tools you will need if you ever wanted to make earrings again.

- Skills that will last you a lifetime if you wish you make yourself a pair of earrings again.

- A chance to ask me as many burning questions all about earrings during our IN PERSON workshop

How the in person earring-making workshop will work:

I will prepare everything for your workshop prior to the event and have everything set up ready for you when you arrive at Doxi in Hellesdon Barns. You will get to design and make at least 3 pairs of your own earrings each and each get to finish 1 pair that I've already made for you. Within the timeframe of the workshop, you will get to finish the pair of earrings that I’ve already made for you so they are ready to wear by the end of the workshop. Your own creations will need to be taken home with you which you will then bake and follow the same steps from the workshop to finish your own designs. I will provide instructions and boxes for you to be able to take them home safely. You will get to take all the equipment home with you and have access to our written and video instructions from our DIY earring-making kits for if you’d ever like to make again. You will also get to take home some of our ‘Sapphire Frills’ earring backing cards to use if you’d like to gift any of your creations to a friend or loved one. The workshop takes approximately 2-2.5 hours to complete.

What we will be using in the workshop:

- 1 ceramic tile to work on

- 1 acrylic roller

- 1 piece of paper and kitchen roll.

- 1 piece of sandpaper

- 1 small jar of varnish

- 1 paint brush to apply the varnish

- 1 small hand drill to make the holes in your earrings.

- 1 pair of pliers to attach your jump rings and hooks if required.

- Enough clay to make 1 small slab to cut out at least 3 pairs of earrings (Some people are cutting out up to 10 pairs)

- 2 different cutter shapes of your choice (you will get to choose these in the workshop) We have lots of different sizes and shapes for you to select from.

- 1 already made pair of earrings by myself for you to finish in the workshop with me (This will be selected at random from the website).

- Earring posts and butterfly backs, jump rings, hooks, or hoops ready to attach to your finished earrings (depending on your selection)

- 1 small glue to attach your earring posts and backs (if required)

Please note you will all have access to my full range of cutters so you can cut pretty much any shape earrings in the workshop that you'd like.

An email will be sent out prior to your workshop to confirm everything thats happening on the day.
